Measurement Equipment Calibration Process
Detailed Process
1. Create a list of measuring instruments that need calibration:
Based on the accuracy level of the measuring instruments used for teaching, practice, and experiments.
Based on the required accuracy for practical exercises and experiments involving measuring instruments, create a list of the measuring instruments that need calibration.
2. Develop a calibration plan for the measuring instruments:
Based on the list of measuring instruments requiring calibration, develop a calibration plan according to the calibration cycle.
Based on the accuracy and complexity of the measuring instruments and the capabilities of available calibration facilities, develop a calibration plan for the measuring instruments, either as internal calibration or external calibration.
3. Review the calibration plan for measuring instruments:
Based on the content and plan of practice and experiments for each semester and the entire academic year, review the calibration plans for measuring instruments from different departments.
Compile the calibration plans for measuring instruments from various departments to submit to the department head.
4. Approve the calibration plan for measuring instruments:
Review the entire calibration plan for measuring instruments from the department before forwarding it to the Equipment Management Department (QT-TB).
5. Forward to the Equipment Management Department for review:
Review and provide feedback on the calibration plan for measuring instruments submitted by departments.
During the review process, if any revisions are necessary, send it back to the department for adjustments.
6. Submit the departments' plans to the Board of Directors for review and approval:
Submit the approved calibration plans to the Board of Directors for final approval.
7. Organize internal calibration:
Based on the approved calibration plan, organize the internal calibration of measuring instruments.
8. Organize external calibration:
Based on the approved calibration plan, arrange for external calibration.
Contact external calibration organizations to send the measuring instruments for external calibration.
9. Review and evaluate the calibration results of measuring instruments:
Monitor the implementation of internal calibration.
Evaluate the results of internal calibration: if the calibration results are not suitable for the intended use, apply a "not for use" label and notify the relevant department with the calibrated instruments for appropriate action.
10. Monitor the progress and acceptance of external calibration results:
Based on the contract with the external calibration organization, monitor progress and accept the calibration results.
Transfer the calibrated instruments to the department.
11. Update data in the internal calibration record:
Based on the evaluation and acceptance of calibrated equipment, update the data in the internal calibration record.
12. Control measuring instruments during use:
During use, if any measuring instruments are found to be inaccurate, apply a "not for use" label and notify the relevant department for further action.
