Calibration is the establishment of a correlation between measurement and measuring instruments. Calibration involves determining the metrological characteristics of a measuring instrument. This is done by direct comparison with known standards. Calibration can be performed in-house (if the facility has the technical and human resources capacity) or by an external technical service provider. The status of the calibrated equipment is usually identified by a calibration label and calibration results.

Calibration is often expensive and in many cases it is often neglected or the time between calibration checks on equipment may be extended to cut costs, or simply due to lack of methods and manpower. However, ignoring calibration can lead to unexpected production and machine downtime, product and process quality problems, and even mass product recalls and rework.
Furthermore, if the equipment is critical to the process or located in a hazardous location, allowing the sensor to drift over time can pose a safety hazard to personnel.

When is calibration required?
Because of drift, all instruments need to be calibrated at fixed intervals.
The frequency with which they are calibrated depends on a number of factors. First, the instrument manufacturer will provide a reference calibration interval. This interval may be shortened if the instrument is used in a critical process or application. Quality standards may also dictate how often a pressure or temperature sensor needs to be calibrated.

-Approve the calibration plan for measuring equipment
-Transfer to the Administration - Equipment department for review
-Transfer the plans of the units to the Board of Directors for review and approval
-Organize internal calibration
-Organize external calibration
-Check and evaluate the results of measuring equipment calibration
-Check the progress and accept the results of external calibration
-Update data into the internal calibration form
-Control measuring equipment during use

1. In April 2015, the Company implemented the Looptest calibration installation package for the DAP 2 Lao Cai fertilizer factory - The Company is a subcontractor for TTCL Thailand. And certified for 3 million safe working hours, awarded by the investor and contractor.
2. In March 2014, the company performed a Looptest calibration package and Motor maintenance for Mekong Energy Company at the PM2.2 thermal power plant.
