Electrical System Design

Safety must always come first to prevent risks for everyone in the future. Electrical wiring must be insulated and follow a vertical axis. Any wires passing through walls, floors, or foundations must be enclosed in protective conduits to prevent water from entering, which could pose a serious hazard. Avoid running electrical wiring in areas where drilling or nailing into walls is likely. Crossed electrical wires should be minimized to prevent short circuits.

It is crucial that electrical outlets are installed at least 1.5 meters above the ground and that modern socket designs are used to prevent children from inserting their fingers. Light switches should also be placed at a minimum height of 1.5 meters, and must never be installed in bathrooms, restrooms, or near water sources. Distribution boards and protective equipment should be placed in easily accessible locations.

Step 1: Gather information, receive the project, and develop design solutions.
Step 2: List essential questions for discussion with the investor and update investor requirements.
Step 3: Calculate and design the lighting system.
Step 4: Calculate and design the electrical outlet system.
Step 5: Load calculation.
Step 6: Calculation of wiring and circuit breakers.
Step 7: Calculation and design of power factor correction capacitors.
Step 8: Calculation and design of grounding systems.
Step 9: Calculation and design of generators, transformers, and lightning protection systems.
Step 10: Inventory of materials and equipment.
Step 11: Finalize drawings and submit them to the investor.

Maintenance Process

• Inspect all power sources in the project.

• Check the main distribution board and its internal equipment.

• Inspect distribution panels, indicator lights, and control devices.

• Examine the lighting system.

• Measure the power consumption of electrical equipment, calculate the total load, and check the MCCB output load to determine power consumption.

• Balance the load distribution across phases.

• Measure input and output voltage of electrical panels, including phase sequence.

• Inspect the power cables supplying the server room.

• Clean electrical cabinets and equipment (if necessary).

• Calibrate electrical meters (if necessary).

• Repair equipment (if necessary).

• Replace faulty equipment (if necessary).
