Pressure gauge and safety valve inspection service is to determine and review the conformity of measuring instruments with legal requirements to meet specific technical standards or not, the result is determined by the state inspection agency as passed or failed.
The service of inspecting pressure gauges and safety valves is to determine and examine the conformity of measuring instruments with legal requirements to meet specific technical standards or not, the results are determined by the state inspection agency as passed or not.

Inspection is mandatory for measuring instruments included in the "List of mandatory inspection equipment" according to Decision No. 13/2007/QD-BKHCN dated July 6, 2007 of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

What is a pressure gauge?

A pressure gauge that directly monitors pressure must be placed in a visible position on the service floor, the face of the pressure gauge must be inclined about 300 when placed above eye level.

For the pressure gauge to work reliably and accurately, it must be regularly checked and calibrated periodically or irregularly in the following cases:

- Before putting the device into operation.

- During the operation of the device if necessary.

- When the equipment is subject to periodic or irregular operational checks and inspections

Safety valve calibration includes the following steps:

- Visually check the technical condition of the valve;

- Use gas (compressed air, nitrogen) or liquid (water, specialized oil) to increase the pressure to check the impact pressure, closing pressure of the valve;

- Adjust to suit the actual situation;

- Check the tightness of the valve;

- Clamp lead.

What is a safety valve?

Spring-type safety valve: most commonly used.

- Counterweight-type safety valve (dumbbell): only used for fixed equipment.

- Membrane-type safety valve: often used for powdery media or media that can adhere and clump to conduct testing. When the pressure reaches the pressure to destroy the membrane, the membrane will burst, then another membrane must be replaced.

For the safety valve to work reliably and accurately, it must be regularly checked, periodically or irregularly calibrated in the following cases:

- Before putting the equipment into operation.

- During the operation of the equipment if deemed necessary.

- When the equipment is periodically or irregularly inspected and tested

STEPS TO INSTALL A PRESSURE GAUGE:

Check the pressure gauge

When checking, you need to pay attention to:

Has the pressure gauge been inspected or not (If the device has been inspected, you can rest assured).

The current status of the pressure gauge has a faulty device or not because sometimes there are defective ones mixed in a batch.

Measuring range: The largest and smallest scale values; is it suitable for the measuring application or not?

Checking before installation will make you feel secure as well as save costs and time in case of equipment failure.

Determine the installation location

Vibration, temperature or chemicals are factors that affect the pressure gauge. Therefore, it is important to accurately locate the position to install the pressure gauge so that the vibration, temperature and chemical impact on the device is at a minimum level.

For machines with high vibrations, it is necessary to choose an installation location far from the machine and connect it with a pressure-resistant hose. For machines that generate high temperatures when operating, when installing a pressure gauge, if necessary, you can use a Syringe tube to reduce the temperature acting on the device.

For machines that operate in a dusty environment, when installing a pressure gauge, you should place it far away from the chemical environment or use a stainless steel or anti-corrosion pressure gauge.

Installation of the pressure gauge

The installation is very simple, but it is important to note:

Do not apply force directly to the body and face of the gauge because they will cause distortion and can break the surface of the gauge.

Use a wrench or spanner to slowly and evenly turn them in the direction of the thread. Avoid twisting the thread base.

Use soft rubber (Teflon) or glue to wrap around the thread base of the gauge before installation to ensure the best tightness during use.
