The Polypropylene Production Plant project is Vietnam's first petrochemical project, invested by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam). It is built on an area of 16 hectares next to the Dung Quat Oil Refinery. The project, which commenced in December 2007, has a total investment of 234 million USD and an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons of product.

It is a petrochemical product from the polypropylene pellet production plant, made from raw materials sourced from the Dung Quat Oil Refinery.

The Polypropylene Production Plant project is Vietnam's first petrochemical project, invested by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam). It is built on an area of 16 hectares next to the Dung Quat Oil Refinery. The project, which began in December 2007, has a total investment of 234 million USD and an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons of product.

The plant’s raw material is liquefied propylene gas sourced from the Propylene Recovery Unit (PRU) at the Dung Quat Oil Refinery, which is then processed into high-quality, thermally durable polypropylene pellets. These pellets are widely used in the automotive, construction, electrical, packaging, fiber, and consumer goods industries.
